Each application form will also have a Job Description and Person Specification relating to the vacancy you are applying for. Use this information to show us how your skills, knowledge and attitude match the vacancy requirements and where possible, give examples to back up your application. Provide details of your current and previous employment, listing your most recent post first. Don’t forget to include any experience you may have gained from doing unpaid or voluntary work.
We will draw up a shortlist of applicants based on the information you have provided on your application form, so please make sure you provide enough evidence that you meet the essential and desirable qualities detailed in the Person Specification.

You will need to provide the details of two employment referees, covering the past 3 years; one of which should be your current or most recent employer or university/college. It is not acceptable to provide the name of a family member as a referee unless you were employed by them.

If you are related to a Board Member or member of Newark and Sherwood Homes’ staff you should make us aware of this on your application form. Deliberate failure to include this information will automatically disqualify you from appointment. If the omission is discovered following your appointment, it could lead to your dismissal.
