Members of our staff took part in a session aimed to encourage discussion and debate on how the company should respond to the Government’s recently published green paper titled ‘A new deal for social housing’.
Employees from across the company, including finance, customer access, tenancy & estates and development, took part in group workshops to debate and discuss some of the questions posed in the green paper.
Newark and Sherwood Homes’ chief executive Rebecca Rance led the meeting, and commented: “Our employees provided some excellent points and topics for debate during the session and the feedback we received will be invaluable for our response. We are committed to delivering excellent housing services and it was wonderful to see our staff passionately putting forward their arguments on how the industry should move forward and how we as a company can continue to excel.”
Street Warden Lisa Moran also commented: "I found it invaluable to discuss and debate the green paper with colleagues across the organisation and there were some extremely good ideas formulated through the group discussions."
We will be holding two events, in partnership with tenant engagement experts TPAS, to hear from tenants and residents.
The meetings with residents and employees will both help shape our response to the green paper.
