We are pleased to announce that 20 apartments – a mix of 1 and 2 bedrooms - for rent will be coming up in a new scheme called Gladstone House, just off Bowbridge Road in Newark.
Gladstone House is designed for over 65’s and help people live independently for as long as possible. It includes features such as a communal lounge, rooms designated for activities, a sensory garden and a kitchen to provide a midday meal for all residents. Properties will be advertised on our website on Wednesday with a deadline to bid by Monday noon.
To apply for an apartment you will need to be on the Council’s housing register. To register please get in touch and we’ll send you an application form to fill out. If you’re already on the housing register, just bid for the apartment when it appears on the website (Wednesday) and we’ll assess your circumstances.
The scheme is the result of a successful bid for £1.5m of funding from the Department of Health’s Extra Care and Support Programme, administered by the Homes and Community Agency, and funding from Newark and Sherwood District Council, Nottinghamshire County Council and Newark and Sherwood Homes.
Gladstone House is on course to open its doors to new residents in spring 2018.
