Review of Housing Management Services – Your Home, Your Future, Your Choice

24 June 2019

At Newark and Sherwood Homes we are proud to deliver excellent housing services and of our track record of delivery over the last 14 years.

In April Newark and Sherwood District Council agreed 'in-principle' to bring the housing service back under the council’s management. Before reaching a formal decision, an eight week tenant and leaseholder consultation period will begin on Wednesday, 26 June.

The council has appointed an independent resident engagement specialist, Open Communities, to undertake the tenant and leaseholder consultation process. All council tenants and leaseholders will shortly receive a letter and questionnaire from Open Communities.

All responses to the questionnaire should be returned to Open Communities. Tenants and leaseholders will also have the opportunity to complete the questionnaire online.

For any questions related to the consultation process, please call Open Communities on the Freephone number 0800 073 1051 or by email enquiries@opencommunities.org.

Drop in sessions

Seven drop-in sessions have been arranged across the district as part of the consultation exercise. These sessions will be facilitated by Open Communities and staff from the council and Newark and Sherwood Homes will also attend.

Tenants and leaseholders are encouraged to attend one of these sessions to find out more about the council’s proposal.
